Cappuccino = Italy
Before I traveled to Italy I drank coffee out of necessity, but I was by no means an aficionado. I had an espresso for the first time last year back in the states (yes, I just said that) and I was wired like a crazy person.
I was more of a black coffee with a ton of vanilla creamer kind of guy. I was always on the hunt for a good mocha. But given the language barrier in Italy, I wasn't going to venture too far from the cappuccino. I had them probably everyday there. Sometimes more than once as my body was in shock from what seemed like time travel.
Now I have withdrawals. And in recent times have been ordering a ton of cappuccinos. Starbucks does them no justice by the way (shock). I'm even considering buying an espresso/cappuccino maker.
Whenever I drink one, even if it's from the office Flavia machine, I am transported across International waters. I need that kind of quality.
I'm sipping on one now. This, I could get used to. But, then the real world calls me back again.
That new email pops up. That phone rings.
I better answer.
Peace, love and a little sarcasm, j.d.k.
